چکیده
Abstract Background Rapid recovery after surgery is especially important for patients who are scheduled adjuvant therapy. This study aimed to investigate the effect of video-assisted thoracic (VATS) on chemotherapy referral time and tolerance in underwent lung resection non-small cell cancer. Methods The data 612 with diagnosis cancer our clinic between January 2014 December 2021 were reviewed. Patients lobectomy or bilobectomy systematic mediastinal lymph node dissection received at least one cycle included study. characteristics patients, pathological data, postoperative follow-up findings, operation recorded. Results A total 144 met criteria mean age was 61.6 ± 7.9 years. visual analogue scale scores found be lower, length hospital stay shorter VATS group compared thoracotomy. (days) initiate statistically (48.9 17.6 vs 58.1 27.6, p = 0.049). However, there weren't seen any statistical differences thoracotomy groups terms completed, percentage planned regimen received, grade ≥ 3 toxicity rates ( 0.16, 0.18, 0.22, respectively). Conclusions provides faster open shortens refer chemotherapy.

OBJECTIVE Major surgery is immunosuppressive and could have an impact on postoperative tumor immunosurveillance and recurrence in cancer patients. BACKGROUND Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) is widely performed in patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer. However, it is unknown whether VATS sublobar resection has advantages compared with VATS lobectomy in preserving pulmonary function. METHODS Three hundred patients with non-small cell lung cancer who underwent VATS were enrolled. Pulmonary function tests were perf...

Video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) is a minimally invasive technique that has many advantages in postoperative pain and recovery time. Because of its advantages, VATS is one of the surgical techniques widely used in patients with lung cancer. Most surgeons perform VATS for lung cancer with three or more incisions. As the technique of VATS has evolved, single-port VATS for lung cancer has be...

PURPOSE A serious complication following primary lung cancer surgery on patients with interstitial pneumonia (IP) is the postoperative acute exacerbation of IP. Because few studies have examined the feasibility of using video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) on these patients, we reviewed our experience with this technique. METHODS We examined 78 patients; 11 had IP (IP group) and 67 did not ...

This study was designed to evaluate the intermediate to long-term QOL in patients with lung cancer following resection, comparing VATS with thoracotomy. DESIGN Cross-sectional study, telephone survey. METHODS Of 136 disease-free surviving patients...
